TRICIA COVAIS PERHIRIN, PRESIDENT AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER OF HORIZON SERVICES GROUP, A SUBSIDIARY OF HORIZON LINES, INC.
Tricia Covais Perhirin is President and Chief Information Officer of Horizon Services Group, a subsidiary of Horizon Lines, Inc. HSG offers transportation software products, consulting, custom application software development and supply chain visibility and security services. Ms. Covais Perhirin is responsible for managing and setting the strategic direction of the Horizon Technology department which consists of Infrastructure, Architecture, and Application Development teams. Her team is responsible for providing complete solutions to clients including consulting, business process analysis, custom application development, implementations and integrations, training, support, and strategic planning. Ms. Covais Perhirin joined Sea-Land in 1995 where she held multiple positions with the Information Technology organization. Ms. Covais Perhirin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
JEFF YEAGER, DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY FOR HORIZON SERVICES GROUP, A SUBSIDIARY OF HORIZON LINES, INC.
Jeff Yeager is Director of Technology for Horizon Services Group, a subsidiary of Horizon Lines, Inc. Mr. Yeager is responsible for IT services provided to the Liner and Shared Services companies within Horizon Lines, INC. These responsibilities include Telecommunications, Data Center, Hardware, Application Architecture, and Application Development functions.
A 12-year veteran of the Technology industry, he began his career with Electronic Data Systems as a part of the well respected Systems Engineer Development program on an account in the Government Strategic Business Unit. After almost 5 years with EDS, Mr. Yeager was responsible for the Interface Development, Database Administration, and Infrastructure functions for the account he was assigned. Mr. Yeager joined Sea-Land in 1999. He was instrumental in the development of the Horizon platform including leading the development efforts of the NetCaptain Suite, Gate, Routing and Mainframe Decommissioning projects.
Mr. Yeager holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
DUNCAN WRIGHT IS THE DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS STRATEGY AT HORIZON SERVICES GROUP, A SUBSIDIARY OF HORIZON LINES, INC.
Mr. Wright manages business relationships, sales and marketing for Horizon Services Group. Duncan also works with the HSG IT group to assist in directing the development and management of 3rd party projects, system strategy, planning and customer focused implementations. Duncan's other main responsibility is to ensure that HSG is aligned with government agencies within the security and logistics arenas that encompass HSG's cutting edge solutions.
After college, Mr. Wright started with Sea-Land in 1995 via the highly respected Sea-Land Management Training Program. After this 18-month program, Mr. Wright held several positions on Global Sea-Land initiatives and was a Project Manager responsible for the business direction of Sea-Land’s global container logistics visibility management systems and data flow. He also was part of a team that developed and implement international consolidated call centers in Hong Kong, Cork, San Juan, Long Beach, Atlanta, Dallas, Philippines and Yokohama. These centers utilized cutting edge technologies and processes to integrate over 40 different languages and countries' operations. After the sale of Sea-Land, Duncan remained with Sea-land's US domestic division, CSX Lines, where he managed the development of all e-business applications, including the award winning NetCaptain® Suite. His team was also responsible for the development and growth of all the consumer shipping SHIPMY brands, i.e. www.shipmyvehicle.com, www.shipmystuff.com.
Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor of Science in Maritime Business & Law from Plymouth University, UK. Mr. Wright is a frequent speaker at colleges, trade seminars and shipping conferences.
